Mission Orientation Group, Aug 19, 2014

This is the group of missionaries we trained with in SLC.  We will probably forget their names and never see them again so I will list their names and where they are going.  Sitting are the Johnsons from Fillmore, UT.  They will work in the SLC office and do title searches for the farms and ranches.  Bensons are behind them. They are from Logan. He currently works for FRI as a realtor. She is as a FH missionary but being released and called to FRI in SLC.  The Hazelbush's are next. They are from Rangely, CO going to the Almond Nut Farm in Chico, California.  The Jones are from Mapleton, UT going to England.  The Laytons, from Safford are going to Triangle Ranch, Nielsons, Hursts from Spanish Fork, going to Deseret in Florida.  She said they will watch out for Kiley and the baby for us.  The last couple is the Elder and Sister Hynes, the Missionary Directors from Cocoa, FL and Chicago.
The meeting was really great.  We enjoyed learning about Farmland Reserve, Inc.  The chairman of the Board, Don Sleight spoke to us at length and also, two other company execs.  In the afternoon the Hynes instructed us concerning our responsibilities, the mission rules, etc.  We were served nuts from the nut farm and lots of jelly beans and M&Ms and lunch. We saw slides of missionaries already serving and recognized a few.
